TrackMyFarm Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect your information when you access or use TrackMyFarm services, including the TrackMyFarm web app, website, APIs, support, and related features (collectively, the "App"), provided by Powerhouse Agriventures Limited ("we", "us", "our", or "TrackMyFarm"). By accessing or using the App, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not access or use the App.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information for all users:
- Name
- Email address
- Password
- Device information: (Device type, OS version, unique device identifiers, IP address)
- Usage data: (App interactions, features used, session duration, crashes/errors)
- Any other data you input or upload to the App
We also collect additional information when you set up a farm in the App:
- Farm/business name
- Location/address
- Billing Information
- Farm maps
- Any other data you input or upload to the App
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App
- Authenticate accounts and provide personalized features
- Process and store your Farm Data to enable access across devices
- Communicate with you
- Analyze usage to improve functionality, fix bugs, and develop new features
- Ensure security and prevent fraud/abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
We may create aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified data from Farm Data for analytics, research, benchmarking, or marketing.
3. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information or Farm Data. We may share data:
- With service providers (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting) under strict contracts
- If required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights/safety
- In connection with a business transfer (merger/acquisition)
- With your consent or at your direction
4. Data Retention
We retain your account and Farm Data as long as your account is active or needed to provide the App. After account deletion or inactivity (e.g., 1 year), we may delete or anonymize data. Aggregated data may be kept indefinitely.

You have these rights regarding your personal information and Farm Data:
- Access, correct, update, or delete your data.
- Object to or restrict processing.

The App is not directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Some of our service providers are located outside of New Zealand, and your information may be transferred to and stored on servers in other countries. We use appropriate safeguards to protect your information during international transfers.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data (encryption in transit/rest, access controls). No system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
